Self-care is super important in remaining balanced in life. For me, self-care means doing things that ensure my mental, emotional and physical health needs are met. As a mom of two small kiddos, I can say that stopping to take time to do little things that help alleviate stress and recharge can feel like an impossible endeavor.

Who has time to flip through a magazine when there are 4 piles of laundry on the bed?!”

However, as the saying goes,

“If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”

Whether you are a busy mom or just a gal slaying your day, I hope you can take a break and use some of these ideas to give yourself some loving! I included a few that involve sharing your awesomeness with strangers or friends like, volunteering, sending someone some snail mail, and saying hello to random people in the street. When you do good for yourself, you feel good. When you do good for others, you feel good. Win-win!
