MTTC Tennis

Mac Tennis Training Center
The MAC Tennis Training Center (MTTC) is committed to creating pathways for junior tennis players for all levels to experience life-changing success on and off the court. The MTTC program is inspired by our Senior Director Frank Salazar and Junior Director Daniel Quiceno.

We achieve this by creating “CHAMPS”:

C– Confidence: Our players gain self-confidence on and off the court.

H– Humility: Our players are humble and appreciative representatives of the program and center.

A– Adaptability: Our players adapt to any situations and challenges they face.

M– Mentoring: Our players are mentored by our coaches and also committed to each other as we pair our older and experienced players with younger players in our “pass the torch” program.

P– Persistence: Our players don’t just seek… but they find answers through their dedication to training and honoring the game.

S– Strategic: Our players are prepared for all aspects of competition. They will value strategic planning and preparation, learn how to be self-sufficient, and problem solve during pressure situations. This will allow them to overcome obstacles that come forth in their quest to be “CHAMPS” on and off the court.

Our Program Structure:

At the MAC we offer a two-pronged approach to tennis training, the first being our “club” side which caters to developing a junior player. This includes our 10 and under MAC Aces, Junior MAC Aces, and JV/Varsity MAC Aces programs. This pathway is for individuals that are new to the sport and focuses on the development of skill sets and technique.

The goal of the club side of the MTTC is to create a connection with kids to the great game of tennis and enjoy it at a recreational level. To learn more contact the Director of Junior Programming, Daniel Quiceno at

The MAC Tennis Training Center is our high performance program suited for players who are dedicated to playing the game at the highest level. The program consists of a full-time and part-time training program. The majority of our MTTC players are college tennis scholarship hopefuls.

To be accepted into the MTTC program, each candidate must be evaluated by our MTTC staff to ensure they have the skills and focus needed to be successful in the program. To request an evaluation, please email Mary Lou Tierney,

From ages 5 through 10, players train and develop using age-appropriate equipment, smaller court size, and type of ball that allows for a more positive and fun transition to higher levels of play. With our ACES program, progression drills, both fed ball and live ball, are utilized to enhance skill sets allowing for longer rallies and more fun for participants.

The MTTC program is designed for players who are active tournament participants at the sectional, national, and/or international levels. Our MTTC program gives athletes a clear pathway towards collegiate tennis and potentially professional competition. Our full-time and part-time programs support those players who balance academic responsibilities with their training in a safe, structured, and personalized way.

Each player in the MTTC full-time program meets with their “team” to construct a schedule that will bring out their best on and off the court. The player and parents will meet with the Senior Director of the MTTC and the Director of Performance Training to design and cover all aspects of training. Additionally, logistics with regards to time management, housing, and attention to school responsibilities are addressed as to ensure all aspects of home school requirements are being managed effectively.

The MTTC collective approach is our formula for success and ensures each player has a team supporting them and resources available as they move forward with their training and development.
